John Carter Wins at Cecil County Dragway

In addition to NHRA Unleashed, there was another exciting race taking place in Maryland. The Outlaw Street Car Shootout at Cecil County Dragway delivered great weather conditions and plenty of nail-biting suspense. Pro Line Racing customers; Tom Kasper, son TJ Kasper, and John Carter were looking to further dominate the Outlaw 10.5 and Drag Radial classes. Our own Steve Petty was there to aid them in the tuning process.

In Outlaw 10.5 action, Tom and TJ Kasper did what they do best, lay down unbeatable passes to qualify #'s 1 and 2. Tom took #1 with a blistering 4.44 and TJ followed suit with a 4.45. Needless to say, they breezed through qualifying, but this race was not going to be an easy task.

In eliminations, TJ passed Saud Alzabin with a 4.43@177mph and Tom walked by a struggling Steve Gorman. Unfortunately, the second round was a different story for Team Kasper. TJ had a slow start and couldn't recover against John Cheman and Tom red lit against Charlie Dolbin. Their night was cut short, but on the other hand, they had the three fastest runs of the night. Team Kasper has a lot of winning ahead of them and this will only make them harder to beat.

The Drag Radial class was also very competitive and John Carter rose to the top!  With Steve Petty on his side, John qualified #1 with a 5.11@154mph. He eliminated Randy Lambert with a 5.11 and avoided danger as his next opponent,Bill Dutka, lost control of his Malibu. In the finals, John faced Quentin Methaney for the win. Carter went 5.23@145mph to Matheny’s 5.44@131mph and brought home the win for the second time in a row!

Cecil County Dragway is a spectacular place for drag racing and Pro Line Racing is happy to keep our customers updated about these events.
