HEBRON, Ohio (May 2026) – Proline-powered racer Kyle Canion put together an impressive performance at the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series Spring Nationals at National Trail Raceway, driving his way to the Bratz class victory after taking down some tough competition along the way.
Canion’s weekend included a major second-round matchup against two-time Bratz winner Cory Reed. After getting past Reed, Canion stayed locked in through the remainder of eliminations before meeting Bill Lutz in the final round.
In a side-by-side final round battle, Canion came out on top over “Big Boost” Bill Lutz to secure the event win and cap off a standout weekend at the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series event hosted at Darana’s National Trail Raceway facility.
The Spring Nationals brought together a strong field of racers and delivered competitive racing throughout the weekend, making the Bratz win even more meaningful for Canion and his team. Wins in classes like Bratz require consistency, quick turnarounds, and the ability to perform under pressure against experienced competitors.
Taking out a former multi-time winner like Reed before defeating Lutz in the final showed just how strong the team was from start to finish.
Congratulations to Kyle Canion and his entire team on the IHRA Spring Nationals victory.
