TEAM PRO LINE WITH TWO WINS, A RUNNER-UP, AND A PERSONAL BEST IN NMCA ACTION

COMMERCE, GA (April 9, 2017) - The NMRA/NMCA tour made a stop at Atlanta Dragway for the All-Star Nationals. Many teams from all over the world came into Pro Line Racing’s back yard looking for glory, and glory would be had for more than one Pro Line Racing-powered team!

It is no secret that DeWayne Mills has been working with Pro Line Racing on developing new engine parts, and while there were a few hiccups in the beginning, the new 548 cubic inch PLR-Hemi is showing promise for the Mills Racing Team. DeWayne Mills flogged the 1968 Camaro, known as the Golden Gorilla, to a 3.91-second ET to gain the top qualifying spot. Mills then proceeded to ride a string of low 3.90s all the way to the final round where Josh Klugger and his equally potent Pro Line Racing-power Mustang were waiting. Klugger had also ran a series of 3.90’s to get to finals and the blue Fox Body was set to go gorilla hunting. When the green bulb lit, Klugger pedaled it and coasted to a 7.72, yet Mills ran a 3.89-second 1/8th ET for the win and a new NMCA Radial Wars record. Congratulations to the Mills Racing team for the win and world record and to Fiscus/Klugger Racing for claiming runner-up.

In Street Outlaw action, Kallee Mills ran a new personal best 4.528-second ET in the first round of eliminations to advance to a round two match-up against points leader, Charlie Cooper. Mills and her PLR LS-powered 1968 Camaro, dubbed the Golden Panda, repeated a 4.52, but it was not enough to overcome Charlie Cooper’s 4.39-second run.  Congratulations to Kallee Mills for a new personal best.

The reigning Street Outlaw champion, Jacky McCarty, had the Fuel Tech FT500 tuned up and working in perfect harmony with his SBF-powered 1993 Mustang. The consistent fox body Mustang ran a series of low 4.40s through a tough field of challengers to claim Street Outlaw victory. Congratulations to the McCarty Performance team for the big win.
