Tony Wilson Wins Pro Mod at IHRA Virginia

DINWIDDIE, Va. (April 2026) – Tony Wilson drove Ed Burnley’s “Iron Man” to victory in Pro Modified competition at the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series event at Virginia Motorsports Park, putting together a strong performance to close out the weekend.

Wilson delivered when it mattered most in the final round, laying down a 3.58 at 209.04 MPH to secure the win.

Strong Final Round Performance

Facing off against Jason Harris in the final, Wilson had both the performance and consistency needed to get the job done. Harris, fellow Proline customer, made a 3.66 at 173.74 MPH in the final, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Wilson’s 3.58 run.

Sealing the Win in Virginia

Behind the wheel of the “Iron Man” entry, Wilson capped off the event with a statement run, adding a Pro Mod victory to his record in IHRA competition.

With competitive fields continuing to show up across the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series, performances like this highlight just how tight the category remains heading deeper into the season.
