TIERP, SWEDEN (June 10th, 2018) - At the FIA European Drag Racing Championship event at Tierp Arena, a PLR Hemi-powered Chevelle made big waves in the Pro Modified class. Andreas Arthursson had a weekend of firsts, his first time running in the 5 second zone and his first FIA victory!
His Chevelle is powered by a PLR 520ci Hemi with twin Precision 91mm turbochargers and controlled by FuelTech. After a successful test session with PLR tuner Brandon Stroud, Arthursson and team qualified #2 with a 5.86 at 253mph! In eliminations, he would then put together a string of 5.8 second runs at over 250mph to advance to his first FIA win. We look forward to watching Andreas and his team continue on their current path. Congrats to Andreas and crew on the big win!
Roderjan Busato captured the Pro Mod victory at the FT BR SPORT CUP in Brazil, while Aristeu da Veiga set a new Pro Mod class record with a 3.670-second pass at 336 km/h. It was another successful weekend for Proline-powered teams on one of Brazil's biggest drag racing stages.
Jason Harris picked up the IHRA Triple Crown Pro Mod win in Hebron, Ohio, after qualifying No. 1 and driving his Proline-powered "Party Time" Camaro to victory in the final round.
Jason Collins earned his second NHRA Pro Mod victory of the season at the Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol. After a wild second-round incident involving a detached steering wheel during his burnout, Collins and the Scott Tidwell Racing team battled back to claim the win and lock themselves into the NHRA Pro Mod Countdown to the Championship.
