PRO LINE POWER GETS A NO PREP WIN AND THE RADIAL WARS RECORD

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (JULY 29, 2017) –  No prep racing is gaining momentum from sea to shining sea and the All In No Prep All Star Weekend at Fayetteville Motorsports Park in Fayetteville, North Carolina is a great example of it hitting the east coast. This historic race brought out some of the best in no prep racing, and at the end of Saturday night, it was Larry Larson who won the cash with his PLR BBC-powered Chevy S-10 Pickup.

Larson had his work cut out for him as he drew tough competition in each round. He beat Brent Austin driving “Megalodon” in the first round. In the second round, Larson outran Kye Kelley’s “Shocker.” The final round started with James “Birdman” Finney leaving hard, yet Larson relied on his Pro Line Power to run Finney down for the Saturday night Big Tire win and the cash. Congratulations to the Larson Race Cars team on the big win!

JOLIET, IL (JULY 30, 2017) – The NMCA and NMRA come together every year for the Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois. Several Pro Line-powered teams were on the hunt for victory, yet a new world record would have to do.

Out of the twenty-eight cars vying for a place in the sixteen car NMCA VP Racing Fuels Pro Mod feature, Daniel Pharris ran a 3.92-second pass to qualify seventh in his PLR Hemi-powered ’16 Ford Mustang. Unfortunately, the Pharris Motorsports team is still sorting out the new car and Pharris lost in the first round to Billy Harper.

DeWayne Mills’ 1968 Chevy Camaro, dubbed the “Golden Gorilla,” was on-site and beating its chest in NMCA Mickey Thompson Radial Wars by running a 3.907-second elapsed time to secure the top qualifying spot. Mills earned a first round bye run where tuner, Jamie Miller, turned the PLR Hemi “up to eleven” which resulted in a new NMCA Radial Wars record ET of 3.872! Despite the first round scorcher, the Mills Racing team did not have enough magic to outrun Isaac Preston in the second round. Congratulations to the Mills Racing team for resetting the NMCA Radial Wars record.

TOPEKA, KS (JULY 30, 2017) – In NHRA West Central Division Top Dragster action, Jimmy Sackuvich pushed his ProCharged PLR 481X-powered dragster to a clock a 6.091-second run, which was enough to claim number two qualifier out of the forty-three cars that showed up to race at Heartland Motorsports park in Topeka, Kansas. Sackuvich then improved to a 6.059-second hit for a first round win over Bob Henry. In round two, Sackuvich ran an impressive 6.072 on a 6.06 dial, but lost the race at the tree. Even though they did not advance, there is no denying the consistency of the Sackuvich Motorsports top dragster.
