RISING SUN, MD (August 2025) – For Frank Soldridge, the 2025 Yellowbullet Nationals at Cecil County Dragway will go down as a weekend he’ll never forget. After years of hard work, long nights in the shop, and countless passes chasing perfection, Soldridge finally broke through with a career-best performance and the event win.
Arriving midweek, Soldridge and his crew rolled into the pits ready for one of the toughest races of the year. By Friday morning’s Q1, they wasted no time hitting their target with a 3.74 at 214 mph, already meeting the goal of a 3.75 or quicker. That pass alone would have been a victory in itself, but Frank wasn’t done.
Later that night, he lit up the scoreboard with a new personal best — a 3.69 at 216 mph — and backed it up Saturday morning with another 3.69, this time at 218 mph. With each run, the car became more consistent, and the confidence grew.
When eliminations kicked off Saturday night, Frank advanced on a bye but still chose to make the run count, ripping off another 3.69 at 216 mph with an eye-opening 1.00-second 60-foot.
Sunday morning brought a true test: a side-by-side matchup with Blaine Johnson’s blown Dart, another 3.69 car. Frank delivered once again, putting down another 3.69 at 216 mph to move into the finals.
There, under the pressure of a showdown with Moe Hall, Soldridge took his shot. He turned the car up harder than ever before and was rewarded with the run of his career — a 3.67 at 216 mph for the win.
The emotion was clear: this wasn’t just another win, it was validation. After pushing through struggles, making changes, and leaning on his crew’s tireless dedication, Frank finally had his moment.
“This one feels like a dream,” he admitted in the pits afterward, surrounded by his crew and family. “We’ve been through so much with this car, and to see it all come together here, at a race like Yellowbullet, is something I’ll never forget.”
With momentum on his side, Frank Soldridge leaves Cecil County not just as a winner, but as a racer who has shown he belongs at the top. With a 3.67 now on the board and a trophy in hand, he and his team are already looking ahead to the next stop in Valdosta, Georgia, fueled by the belief that this is only the beginning.
