Paul Gargus and the Scott Tidwell Racing team added another win to their season over the weekend at DragCoverage’s Night of Fire at Alabama International Dragway.
With Chris Terry tuning, Gargus started the event strong, running a 3.602 at 207.94 MPH to secure the No. 1 qualifier spot heading into eliminations.
He continued working his way through the field Saturday before meeting No. 7 qualifier Michael Neal in the final round. Gargus came out on top to close out the night with another win for the Scott Tidwell Racing team.
The Night of Fire victory adds to a strong season for Gargus and the team as they continue to make their mark in Pro Mod competition.

Ned Dunphy earned his first career PDRA Pro Boost victory at the Thunder Valley Throwdown at Bristol Dragway, using consistent passes and strong reaction times to race his way into the winner’s circle.
Jere Rantaniemi claimed the Pro Modified win at Tierp Arena in Sweden, defeating fellow Proline Racing customer Andres Arnover in a close final at the second stop of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship.
