The 2025 NHRA Pro Mod season ended with a thrilling showdown in Las Vegas, where Billy Banaka delivered one of his strongest performances to date. Behind the wheel of his Pro Line-powered entry, Banaka claimed Runner-Up honors in both the Vegas event and the NHRA Pro Mod Championship, capping off a season defined by consistency, determination, and standout performance.
From the start of the weekend, Banaka made his presence known by qualifying No. 1 with a 5.716 at 250.46 MPH in Q4. The pass set the pace for an intense weekend of racing and showcased the power and precision of his Pro Line combination.
Banaka’s path through eliminations was marked by focus and consistency as he advanced round after round, taking on some of the toughest competitors in the field. In the final round, he faced off against J.R. Gray in what became one of the most exciting matchups of the weekend. The race came down to the wire, with both drivers delivering incredible performances that had fans on their feet.
Although Banaka narrowly missed the win, his weekend performance and season-long effort earned him Runner-Up in the NHRA Pro Mod Championship, a testament to the dedication of his entire team and their ability to compete at the highest level of the sport.
