VALDOSTA, Ga. (2026) — Jason Collins Racing, alongside the Scott Tidwell Racing crew, captured a milestone victory at the NHRA Pro Mod Southern Nationals, earning Collins his first career Wally in just his second NHRA event and second national event overall.
Collins faced off against Mike Thielen in the final round and delivered a decisive run, going 5.731 seconds at 252.99 MPH with a .009 reaction time. With Steve Petty as his tuner, the team executed a clean, competitive pass when it mattered most.
The win marks a significant moment for Collins, who has spent years building a reputation in radial racing. Transitioning to the NHRA Pro Mod stage is no small step, but Collins proved he belongs among the top competitors, capitalizing on his opportunity early in his national event career.

Known for his blue Camaros and steady presence behind the wheel, Collins brought that same consistency to the Southern Nationals. His ability to perform under pressure showed throughout the event, culminating in a final-round performance that secured the victory.
For Collins and the Scott Tidwell Racing team, this win represents both a breakthrough and a strong foundation moving forward in NHRA Pro Mod competition.
