Larson Wins NHRA Topeka in Street Car

After a down to the wire heartbreaking loss at Drag Week 2014, Larry Larson and his hardworking crew shocked the world by breaking the 5 second barrier in a street car! That was last year...

In 2015 we hadn't heard much from the Larson camp, other than the fact that he is working hard on Jim Bell's Pro Mod! Last weekend we saw that Larson was entering the Top Sportsman class at NHRA Topeka! We were in for a treat!

Larson's 1998 S10 is powered by a PLR 620ci PB5001 BBC with twin Precision Pro Mod turbos and the FuelTech FT500 EFI system! He started the race very strong with a 6.29@228mph pass to take the #1 qualifying spot! With a whole lot of skill and a little bit of luck Larson found himself 1 round away from his first Wally! He concluded the event with a blistering 6.17@240mph for the win!

This victory stands as the first turbocharged entry to win Top Sportsman at a National Event!

Being a part of this team's success has been an exciting experience and we very proud of their acomplishments.
