JOLIET, IL (May 2026) – Derek Menholt added another major NHRA Pro Mod victory to his season this weekend, driving the Scott Tidwell Racing entry to the winner’s circle at the Route 66 Nationals at Route 66 Raceway.
The weekend brought difficult racing conditions, with teams facing heavy winds and constantly changing track conditions throughout eliminations. Even with the challenges, Menholt and the entire Scott Tidwell Racing crew stayed consistent round after round against one of the toughest Pro Mod fields of the season.
In the final round, Menholt faced teammate Jason Collins in an all-Scott Tidwell Racing and all-Proline-powered matchup. Menholt turned on the win light with a strong 5.692-second pass at 250.23 MPH while being tuned by Brandon Stroud.
Proline-powered combinations showed impressive performance throughout the entire event. Three of the final four were Proline customers, including Menholt, Collins, and Billy Banaka. Earlier in qualifying, Proline customers also secured the top four qualifying positions, showing the consistency and strength of the combinations all weekend long.
The NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by JBS Equipment and Elite Motorsports once again showcased some of the quickest and fastest doorslammer racing in the country, with teams pushing through difficult conditions while competing at over 250 MPH.
