Paul Gargus added another accomplishment to his racing career this weekend, winning his first-ever Pro Mod race with Scott Tidwell Racing at the Mid-West Drag Racing Series and Radial Outlaw Racing Series event.
The two-time Limited Drag Radial (LDR) champion qualified No. 3 in a stacked field of 31 Pro Mods, where only 16 cars made race day eliminations.
Gargus worked his way through the field and met Aaron Wells in the final round. With the win on the line, he delivered the quickest run in series history, laying down a 3.547 at 211 MPH to take the victory and set a new MWDRS Stroud Safety Pro Mod record.
For Gargus, the win marks an impressive debut in one of the toughest classes in drag racing. Already known for his success in LDR competition, including two championships and being one of the category's most successful drivers, he wasted no time proving he could compete at the highest level of Pro Mod racing.
Congratulations to Paul Gargus, Scott Tidwell Racing, and the entire team on a historic weekend. Winning your first Pro Mod race is a remarkable accomplishment. Winning it while setting a new series record makes it even more memorable.

Andres Arnover captured his second straight Santa Pod Raceway Doorslammer title with a strong 5.737-second pass at 259.65 MPH in the final round of Doorslammer 2026.
Jason Harris and the Party Time Racing team earned their first IHRA Pro Mod win of the 2026 season at the Spring Nationals in Hebron, Ohio.
